Expanding from the UAE to Oman
UAE entities cannot operate in Oman without a separate Oman Commercial Registration. Monjiz manages the Oman-side formation, activation, and compliance, so your GCC expansion is properly structured from day one.
A GCC address does not mean an Oman address
A common misconception among UAE-based businesses: GCC presence does not create Oman operational rights. A UAE-registered mainland or free zone company cannot invoice Omani counterparties, employ staff in Oman, or bid on Oman government tenders without a separate Oman Commercial Registration.
Oman's Foreign Capital Investment Law allows GCC and foreign companies to own 100% of an Oman LLC in most sectors. The formation process is the same as for non-GCC entrants. CR, licensing, Tawteen, VAT (where applicable), and bank account readiness all require separate Oman-side coordination.
Monjiz manages the Oman-side process. If you have UAE advisers handling the group structure, Monjiz integrates with them, handling only the Oman execution so the broader structure remains coherent.

- ✓Businesses restructuring GCC operations to include an Oman presence
UAE-to-Oman practical notes
Free zone entities: UAE free zone companies are not GCC-registered entities for the purposes of Oman company law. They follow the same foreign-ownership registration route as non-GCC companies.
Branch vs. subsidiary: UAE companies can register either a branch or a subsidiary LLC in Oman. The right structure depends on liability, tax, and operational requirements. Monjiz confirms the appropriate route at scoping stage.
Vendor registration: UAE-based suppliers bidding on Oman tenders or OQ contracts typically need Oman-registered entities for JSRS, Isnad, and OQ portal registration. Monjiz handles both formation and vendor registration as a combined mandate where needed.
